Our Halloween

You'll notice she is sporting her dad's shoes here with a broom between her legs.

Saturday was a busy day for us. We are grateful that so many of our family members live close though, and that we get to share in the holiday fun with them. Kayleigh was a witch this year, and a very cute one I might add. She wore a witch costume that my mom made for my sister and me when we were little. I found the hat to go with it at Target for a dollar, love the dollar section. My mom then helped me sew the ribbon on to it so it wouldn't fly off her head every time she ran.

In the afternoon we headed over to my parents house where we got to decorate sugar cookies, have minestrone soup for dinner and then go trick-or-treating. Kayleigh had a ton of fun! With all that sugar around, who wouldn't have fun?! As we went trick-or-treating, Kayleigh started to get the hang of it quickly and soon was running from one house to another. And after we'd finish at one house she'd ask if we could go to five more. Right now her thing is always five something, like 5 more minutes, 5 more bites, 5 more treats, etc. Needless to say, we went to plenty of "five more houses."

After my parents we ran up to Michael's parents so they could see their little Kayleigh as a witch. She had fun playing there too, with their Little People house and finally around 10:30 I think we made it home.
