Well, as of this Sunday I will be sustained a Primary worker. I'll be a team teacher of the Sunbeams. While I'm glad it's a pretty low key calling, I was enjoying going to Relief Society for a change. Being in Primary is nice, but sometimes hard. Being new in our ward I'm still trying to get to know people and this calling will make that harder. Michael will take Kayleigh for the first 2 hours I guess and I'll get her for the last hour. Once winter comes, I really won't want Kayleigh in with all the little sick kids, so we'll see how that all works out.

Pictures
Kayleigh trying out her Johnny Jump Up, she's not so sure.
All ready for bed in her puppy jammies.
She's just so cute!
Kayleigh in her new high chair, I think I wrote about getting it in a previous post.
I just uploaded pictures today and though I'd share a few. Michael is out golfing today in the Isom Family Riders Cup. I am sure I'm spelling Rider wrong, sorry.
I've been trying to get Kayleigh to take an afternoon nap, but she wants nothing to do with it. Today is no different, sadly. She can almost sit up on her own, but we're still not quite there. I know she'll do it in her own time though.

New Calling
On Saturday we received a call from the Stake President's secretary asking if we could meet with the second counselor in the Stake Presidency on Sunday morning at 8:40. Not only was this VERY early for me to be ready but have Kayleigh ready too?! All Saturday we were wondering what this meeting was for. Sunday morning came soon enough and Michael was asked to be the second counselor in our ward's Elders Quorum Presidency which he accepted. We're now left wondering what else could possibly happen to make Michael's life even more busy. Oh well, we know we'll be blessed for serving and Michael is excited to begin this new calling.

Healing Well
This past Monday I was watching Nathan while my mom went out to lunch and unfortunately, Kayleigh got hurt. Thankfully not bad, it could have been so much worse! Nathan was holding her outside on the deck and I had to run inside to check on something (only gone about a minute). As I was almost to the door to go back outside I heard a big thud. I raced the rest of the way outside to find Kayleigh on the deck on her back crying so hard. I think Nathan just decided he didn't want to hold her any more. I know Nathan doesn't really understand that she can't help herself but I felt so bad for Kayleigh. She must have hit the brick of the house on the way down because she had some bloody scratches on her head. Today they are almost healed. It seems that little kids this age are pretty resilient and heal quickly. Whew, her first big ouch out of the way!
Last night we went to a party with Michael's friends from high school. Jake and Alaina and Miriam Fjeldsted were in town from St. Louis and planned a swimming/BBQ party. We swam at the Leaver's pool and ate at the Fjeldsted's. We had a lot of fun. Kayleigh just loved swimming! She liked to splash and kick. She wasn't so sure when people jumped off the diving board though.
Tonight we are going to my parent's house for the annual pharmacy staff party. We are having dutch oven chicken, potatoes and beans. I can't wait, its going to be yummy!

Harry Potter
Michael and I finally went and saw "Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix". We both just loved it! Thanks to aunt Staci who watched Kayleigh while we went. We had free movie passes to the Gateway from IHC's annual gift to it's employees so it cost us nothing, and that's even better! I do think the characters in Harry Potter are looking a little older than the supposed 14, but that's okay. I hope they hurry and finish filming the other ones before everyone gets too old.
Yesterday we had the Coles over for dinner, they are in our ward. We had a very good time. I made roast, mashed potatoes and we had corn on the cob from my parents garden. I also made a strawberry jello with pineapple in it. It set in just 3 hours, I was impressed. After dinner we enjoyed brownies for dessert and 2 games of Skipbo. Kayleigh was very well behaved during all of this, she sat and played with her toys in her high chair almost the whole time. Yeah for wardies that are willing to come and hang out with us.

"Ratatouille"
I loved the movie, so cute! Kayleigh did very well, that said, I don't think I'll be taking her to another one for awhile. I didn't have to take her out of the theater, but I did have to stand up with her and bounce her. She drank 9 oz. of milk, ate lots of Gerber snacks, sucked on her binki and played with toys to stay entertained. Grace and Anna didn't do as well and had to be taken out. I think Michael and I will rent it when it comes out so he can see it and I can catch all of it.
Last night Michael went and got a new high chair for Kayleigh. Thanks to aunt Staci who let us know of the good price. He got it at Toys R Us. I had no idea Toys R Us sold high chairs. I thought only Babies R Us did, I learn something new every day. Not only was the chair on sale, but 15% off the sale price. So, we got an excellent chair for 36 bucks! Kayleigh has already tried it out this morning and it worked great. It's got 3 recline options and 7 different height settings. It's sad when I get so excited over a high chair.
Katerina leaves tomorrow and I'm sad. Kayleigh and I have had fun doing stuff with the family everyday. It's nice to have something to look forward to. I have neglected some household duties though, our fridge is empty and it's time to visit the grocery store. So, once she leaves I'll be back into the schedule of all that fun stuff.
