Cutie pie

Landon is actually pretty strong, or so the doctor says, but mostly it's a cute shirt and a cute boy so I had to post!

Spring is here

I love spring! It's my favorite season, well, after fall that is. I'm not a huge lover of winter or summer, but the two in between are great. Last fall we planted bulbs for the first time here at this house. I'm sure it was quite a sight watching a pregnant girl hop up on a shovel (the ground was already pretty hard when I got around to doing it) to dig the holes. It made me so happy to see these little green things popping up out of the dirt because I wasn't sure if they'd even come up.

Just yesterday Michael and I had a conversation about bulbs and how amazing it is that they just know when to come up. And then if cut off they know to go back into the bulb and will come up again the next year. No question in my mind there is a God who has created all the wonderful things we enjoy on this earth. Happy spring!

All ready for church

He looked so cute in his khakis and sweater!

After 3 months of crazy Sundays, it's finally nice to go to church all as a family! We haven't taken Landon for so long because of RSV season. With me in Primary and Michael the choir director, we've had to bounce back and forth from home to church over the past 3 months. Even Kayleigh is excited that Landon gets to come with us now.

Crying

This poor baby has acid reflux. We started him on medication over two weeks ago. While it has helped some, not as much as I had hoped. Kayleigh was such a good baby and I am quickly learning I took that for granted! Hopefully he will grow out of it soon. Some days are better than others. When the rough days come, I just want to cry, too.

Sleeper

This little guy is sure cute when he's asleep. At night we get him all wrapped up in a burrito to sleep. He is doing pretty good at night, only gets up one time to eat, usually around 5 or 6. Last night we put him to bed at 9:30. He got up at 5 to eat, I then put him back in bed and he slept till 8:45. Now, if I'd just go to bed at 9:30 when he does, I'd be set! Too bad it's more like midnight when I go to bed. What can I say? I like having time for myself and with my husband before calling it a day.

Clothes

I like taking pictures of my kids in all their different outfits. This onesie is one I bought for Landon before he was born. He is growing quickly and now fits in most 3-6 mo. things. What a stud!

Kelli's wedding

Silly girl!

Josh and Kelli
The top layer of the cake.

I am so behind with my posts, but I'm trying to get caught up. A few weeks ago we went to Kelli's wedding. I got to know Kelli during high school when we both worked at Frosted Rock. Over the years we've had some great times together. When we first got married, she would come and hang out with us and sleep over at our house. It was so much fun!

She got married in he Bountiful Temple and then had her lunch and reception at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. I felt so bad for her because it snowed pretty much all day on her special day. I have to hand it to her though, she handled it great! I would have been freaking out! Michael and I had a fun day together as we participated in the festivities. We are excited to get to know her new husband, Josh, he seems like a great guy. They will be living by us so hopefully we can get together and hang out soon.

Thanks to my cousin, Amy, for watching our kids. Kayleigh had a great time!

All smiles!

Cute little Landon is starting to smile! I love it when babies begin to give back! Newborns are a lot of work and it's nice when they start to interact with you.

What a smartie!

Today Kayleigh came to me with dry erase marker all over her hand. Of course I wasn't thrilled and I told her we needed to go and wash it off. As we cleaned her hand, it came off rather easily, I told her we don't color on our bodies. She then asked why, as she does a lot lately. I basically only got one word in before she proceeded to answer her own question. She said, "Because Heavenly Father and Jesus don't want us to color on our bodies because Heavenly Father made our bodies." Yes, Kayleigh, that's exactly right! I'm hoping she'll remember that as she gets older.

And while I'm on the subject of things Kayleigh says, the other day we were driving in the car as a family and she said, "Mom, I want you to have another baby." I said, "Why?" Then Kayleigh said, "Because I want a sister." She's been on a sister kick lately. I keep telling her that Landon needs to grow up a little bit before we are going to have another one.

Yesterday as we were leaving my Primary presidency meeting, the president said to Kayleigh, "Take care of your mom" to which Kayleigh replied, "Hers a mom so her knows what to do." I'm so glad she has that much trust in me! I'll admit, half the time I don't know what to do. Being a mom is pretty hard some days, especially if you have a fussy baby on your hands which we seem to these days. I'm grateful Kayleigh is such a big helper, most of the time, and we love her so much!

Little Landon

Here's some recent photos of our growing boy.

Grace's birthday party

Cupcakes with bird nests on them. My sis did a great job making them!
Grandpa with his only grandson. Many say they look alike.

Grace, Kayleigh and Phoebe showing off their great talents. So cute!

We had a fun time with family and celebrating Grace and Chris' birthdays. Grace is now 4 and I won't mention Chris' age! Time goes so fast! We played a fun game of bowling (with water bottles and a coconut for the ball) and enjoyed dessert. Happy birthday, guys!

BYU vs. New Mexico

Last Saturday Michael and I got to go on a date, it was so fun! We had tickets to the BYU basketball game. We went to the game with Michael's boss and his wife. We all got there a bit late, but had a great time once we did. It was basically a packed house in the Marriott Center and it was SO LOUD!!! It was really a lot of fun. Too bad they had to lose by two, darn it!

Thanks to my sis and her fam for watching our kids, it worked out great! We ended up having dinner with them and playing a game of Rack-O before we headed home.

A long time ago

Stan and Lou Ann, right in the middle.
Kayleigh and Tyler.

Aunt Staci with Landon.

Tyler was very proud to be holding Landon.
The other day I was looking thru some pictures we took in January. It reminded me that we celebrated Michael's grandpa's birthday. At his party I got some cute pictures of Kayleigh with her cousin, Tyler. Since I haven't posted in awhile I thought I'd write about that. The party was fun, it's always good to see people you haven't seen in awhile. This was also one of the first things we took Landon out for so that was fun, too. Love showing him off! He's such a stud.
Michael's grandpa let all of his great-grandchildren (and his youngest grandchild) help him blow the candles on the cake out, it was cute! Michael's grandpa, Stan, is a great guy. I really appreciate all the love he has shown to me since being in the family and everything he has done for me and my family.
