Latest Pictures

Celebrating my birthday with my family.

Aren't these the best shoes ever?
Asleep in the car seat, so peaceful.
London bridges falling down....
I'm ready for bed Daddy!
I did some downloading from the camera today and just wanted to share with everyone some pictures, mostly of Kayleigh. She is such a cutie! I have to make sure I take pictures of her in all of her outfits because she is growing sooo fast. Some she only gets to wear once or twice.

Rainy Days

Today is just one of those days when you want to cuddle up in a blanket and read a book or watch a movie. It's dumb though, it looks colder than it really is out there, so my pants and long sleeved shirt are making me hot.

Michael is out golfing, can you believe in this weather? Oh well, Saturday is his day to relax and I guess if this is what he wants to do, then great for him. Kayleigh and I have just been chillin, we did make a visit to see cousin Brooke and Grandma Suzy though. Kayleigh had a good time sucking some of Tyler's toys and baby Brooke is just so cute and tiny!

23rd Birthday

Well, yesterday I celebrated another birthday. It's funny, when you grow up they just aren't as exciting as when you were little. I had a pretty enjoyable day though, I had phone calls from everyone on both sides of my family, got cards in the mail, had a visit from Michael's grandparents, and Michael surprised me and got home early from work. He took me to the Gateway where we ate dinner at Rumbi Island Grill and then we wandered for a little while before we had to go to Bells rehearsal. I got a couple of new shirts and a new necklace, can't wait to wear them! Thanks Michael, I love you.

P.S. Marie surprised me with cupcakes for all at our Bells rehearsal on my birthday. It was a fun surprise and they tasted yummy!

Another announcement

Tonight at our monthly family home evening, John and Katerina (Erika's brother and sister-in-law) announced they are pregnant. She is due next May. We are so excited for them! We are also excited, although it is far away, for their trip to Utah next fall since we'll be able to see the new baby then. Congratulations!

New neice

Yesterday Kayleigh got another girl cousin! Brooke was born at 1:46p.m. She weighed 7lbs. 3 oz. and is 19 in. long.

She is the daughter of Staci and Bill (Michael's sister and brother-in-law).
Tyler is loving being an older brother, he's so fun to watch interact with her. I think in a few months Kayleigh will really like her. They are 8 months apart and I think that is cool! Congrats to the new parents! We are so glad everything went well.

She's growing up!

Well, we did it, had to go and buy a bigger car seat for our Kayleigh Bug! She is just growing up sooo fast. We weighed her and she came in at a big 23 lbs! It's a little hard to tell for sure with the not-so-accurate scale we have at our house, so give or take a little. We measured her too and she is just shy of 29 inches long. I can't believe my 6 lb. 10 oz. and 20 1/2 in. baby is so huge! Went to the grocery store yesterday and it's wierd to put her in the seat in the cart, without the carseat.

I was a little sad as I cleaned her infant car seat and put it away. Oh well, soon enough I'm sure we'll be getting it back out for #2. Crazy I would even think of that, huh?

Looking forward to the weekend and hope it cools off, they're saying possibly in the 90's again, aren't we done with the 90's YET!!!?

I can now relax!

Well, this week is nice, I am not stressing about having to speak in church any more, it's all over with. I am not sure what it is about the pulpit that makes me shake, get nervous, and cry for absolutely NO reason. Our topic was testimonies and while that was pretty easy to find info on, I still didn't like giving the actual talk. Michael, on the other hand, seems to be able to speak in public no problem. I think he's glad it's over with too though.

We are loving this cooler weather! Fall is my favorite season. Michael loves it too since it means football and more football. Our lawn is finally starting to look really nice, now that it will soon be covered in snow I'm sure. It seems that we never get a very long fall, it just gets cold fast.

This Friday we are getting a new niece! Kayleigh can't wait to have another girl cousin and we hope everything goes smooth for aunt Staci. Can't wait for the news!

Kayleigh's Sitting Up!

Our little Kayleigh-bug is growing! She can now sit up on her own! She is so cute. Here are some pictures of her sitting on her own.
This is a cute picture with Kayleigh and Mommy! Such a cute smile! Don't worry, Erika was right next to Kayleigh! We'll never leave her sitting on the corner of our counter alone!!

Professional pictures

Well, we finally broke down and had professional pictures taked of Kayleigh. We took her to Kiddy Kandids in the Layton Hills Mall. Kayleigh usually smiles big for us at home, so we thought there would be no problem getting her to smile there. Boy, were we wrong! It took us about an hour to get six pictures taken. At that time we were a little discouraged. Then we saw the picture proof on the computer and we were happy. They all turned out just great!
Overall, we weren't very impressed with the service at Kiddy Kandids, but the result was good. We'll probably end up trying a different photographer the next go-around. We hope you enjoy these pictures!
