Another Valentine's post

Today Kayleigh was playing in her room and she got a picture of herself (when she was almost 2) out of her little wallet.  She said, "Here Mom, this is a present for you.  I know Valentine's Day is already past, but here is a present for you.  Sorry I didn't get anything for you."
Sometimes she is so sweet and I love those moments.  It's times like those that I am so grateful I get to be home with my kids and around to hear those cute things they say.  Thanks, Kay!

Valentine's Day Prayer

Just posting so I won't forget...

On the night of Valentine's Day, it was Kayleigh's turn to say our bedtime prayers.  She said about five times during her prayer that she was thankful for Valentine's, that we could celebrate it and that we love everyone.  But then she said the sweetest thing, at least I thought.  She said, "Happy Valentine's Day, Heavenly Father and Jesus."  Awe, it was so precious.  I love you, Kayleigh!

Our daddy's been gone

Over the past month, Michael has had two business trips.  These have been the first two times he's been away since the kdis have been born.  Needless to say, the kids missed him very much!  For his first trip we took him to the airport to catch his flight to Florida.  Kayleigh cried almost the whole way home from the airport.  She slowly started to kind of forget about it once we got home but then she'd remember and start crying again.  Then Landon joined in the crying, too.  It sounds wierd to say but it was kind of cute!  They missed their daddy so much!
It's amazing though, with technology, what you can do these days.  We were able to talk with Michael every day, I texted him a lot, and we even did Face Time at night, via our iPhones.  I remember when I was young and my dad went on work trips.  I doubt we even got to talk to him each night when he was gone.  I'm sure he called quickly to say hi to my mom and let her know he was safe, but that was about it.  My how times have changed!
Michael's second trip was to Las Vegas.  The kids handled him leaving much better this time, partly because he drove himself to the airport and we didn't have to drive him.  Upon arriving home each time, he showered the kids with gifts, which they loved, especially Kayleigh.  Part of me thinks Landon still isn't sure where his daddy went for those few days, but he seemed to be fine with it.  The kids did fight over who got to hold the phone when we did Face Time though.
We are all grateful that Michael doesn't have to go out of town again til June.  I am very grateful that I didn't go into labor while he was gone either time.  Whew!  I love that my kids missed him so much and I am grateful for the great dad that he is.

35 week photos

(Last Sunday)
Yes, I know I look huge, you don't have to tell me though.  Yet people seem to feel like they have to.  At work I get the craziest comments that I would never dream of saying to anyone!  This one guy that I rang up said, "When are you due?  You look like you are ready to explode!"  Why thank you sir, I carry this around all day, did ya think I didn't notice?
And then, a lady in the drive thru asks, "How much longer?"  To which I replied, "Probably a few more weeks, hopefully sooner."  And then she says, while looking at my belly, "Well it looks like any minute!"   Ok, I get it people.
Funny thing is, I've only gained 19 lbs. so far.  That's the least I've gained out of all three of my pregnancies.  So I am just going to be proud of that and be happy that I've carried this little guy as long as I have.  We are going to name him Wyatt Aaron for those who haven't heard yet.  Wyatt because I like that name and Aaron because that is his daddy's middle name.  This Sunday will be 3 weeks past when I had Landon.  We are very happy about that and feel so blessed that the progesterone shots I've been getting are doing their job, worth every penny and then some.
