Sarcoma Awareness Walk & BBQ

On Saturday we headed up to Jordanelle (sp?) Reservoir to be with Michael's co-workers for the annual Sarcoma Awareness walk and BBQ. It was actually quite nice up there, it was a few degrees cooler than down in the valley. We went on a short walk and then headed down to the reservoir to take a quick boat ride. Since the lake was quite crowded we didn't ski or tube, just went for a ride. We enjoyed our time there and getting out to see some nature.

Belly pics

I managed to make it through my whole pregnancy with Kayleigh without ever taking any pictures of my belly. So, I told myself on round 2 I would do better. So, here ya go, at 13 1/2 weeks I already look like I did when I was 20 weeks with Kayleigh. My stomach muscles sure know how to stretch this time around. Oh well, I'll get over it.

We had a fun time in Park City this year for Michael's birthday. His sister and mom had the idea to go up there and ride the Alpine Slide, Coaster and Zip Line. It wasn't necessarily for his birthday, but it worked out that that day we could all go.

What was really too bad was the weather that day. It rained and was thunderstormish all day. We were able to do the coaster 3 times, but never the slide or zip line. Oh well, we still tried to have a good attitude about it. Kayleigh had a great time riding with us on the coaster and we had fun getting pretty much soaked!

What was really neat is that Michael's mom was able to get the sweet hookups for us that night! We all stayed in a 3-bedroom condo/hotel room for 100 bucks. And it wasn't just any hotel room, it was very nice with awesome views right in downtown Park City.

Happy Birthday Michael! (I know it's almost a month later now, but I am finally getting to it.) Thanks for all you do for our little family. Hope this next year brings lots of joy!

Big Rock Candy Mountain

The last week of June we went with my cousin and her husband (Matt and Jeni) down to Big Rock Candy Mountain. Matt's family has a house/cabin that is there all equipped with 4 wheelers and fun stuff. We headed down on a Friday morning and came home on Sunday. We didn't know what to expect, but it was really fun! We did lots of runs on the 4 wheelers and saw a lot of pretty scenes.

The weather was great, not too hot and not cold. At night we played games and watched movies. Kayleigh did a great job sleeping at night, naps on the other hand, not as well. She really took a liking to Matt, it was cute! Thanks guys, for inviting us, it was a lot of fun.

Baby Post

Okay, here's the sought after baby info. I am due the end of January. I am just hoping it doesn't come on Kayleigh's birthday, which is the 16th. I guess it would be fine if it did, but it'd be nice for the kids to have separate birthdays, too. At this point I am a little over 12 weeks.

I feel pretty good, thanks to Zofran. I haven't thrown up yet which I think is AWESOME considering I threw up a ton with Kayleigh. I have been very tired though, but I know that's completely normal. We are really excited at the thought of a little baby around again. We've got a lot to do to get ready, like cleaning out a bedroom, but I know it will all come together. First I need to find out what I am having and then we can get started on all that. I think I'll find out in September.

Kayleigh is pretty excited from what I can tell. She likes to tell people there is a baby inside Mommy's tummy and she is pretty set that it's a girl. She has said a couple of times that it's a boy, but mostly she says girl. If you ask her what she wants to name it she says Chico, which is a name of a baby on Handy Manny, silly girl! We don't really have any great ideas on baby names yet, but I'm sure we'll think of some.

And there you have it, all the information, that we know of anyway. We are excited! I am nervous to have two kids, but I know we'll adjust and figure it out just like we did when we started our family with Kayleigh.

Daddy's big helper

Kayleigh loves helping Michael mow the lawn. I think it's so cute when she does it. Of course it slows him way down, but I think he enjoys it, too. Our lawn mower has that bar at just the perfect height for her to "push". What a helper we have.

South Jordan Fun Days

Last weekend we had planned to go out to my cousin BreeAnn's house. The guys were going to go golfing and the girls/kids would go to South Jordan Fun Days (I think that is what it was called). Well, the weather had other ideas for us all. The guys got I think 6 holes in and then got a rain check to go back later since the rain was coming down. We went to our activity and made it for about 45 minutes to an hour before we were racing back to our cars in the rain, too. Despite all of that though, the kids still had fun riding some rides and being together.

Later we went to Applebee's for dinner and then headed home. If you'll remember from a couple of months ago, it was BreeAnn and her family that were with us on the day Kayleigh was throwing up. We decided that being together must cause bad luck. Oh well, we'll try it again soon though since the guys need to use their rain checks.

New Jammies

I just thought this was the cutest picture of Kayleigh showing off her new jammies so I had to post it. She is getting so tall! I just can't believe it.

Hello to the world

Us last year in California Adventure for our anniversary.

I haven't posted in forever! Lots has been going on but I just haven't gotten around to putting anything on here. Anywho...Michael and I celebrated our 5th anniversary on the 12th of June. I can't believe it's been 5 years. We were lucky enough to have both our parents help to watch Kayleigh and we were able to go to see Up (very good show, very creative), out to dinner 2 times to Chili's and The Cheesecake Factory, did sealings at the temple, did some shopping, and even got to sleep in 2 days until noon! It was great, nice and relaxing.

Michael also got to celebrate Father's Day. I feel really bad because I didn't get him anything (he told me not to) but I also didn't even give him a card-I am so lame! I did have Kayleigh make one the next day though and he enjoyed that. Michael is a great dad, he helps sooo much with Kayleigh and she LOVES when he comes home each night. Most mornings she almost cries when she asks where Dad is and I tell her he's at work. Any day when he gets to stay home she is so happy. I always knew Michael would be great with kids and he has proven that in Kayleigh's 2 and a half years. I am thankful for all he does, I know that not all guys would be as helpful as he is. He changes tons of diapers, brushes teeth, gives baths, and sings lots of songs. Thanks, Michael, for all you do!
