Easter Eggs

I know, it's almost May and I'm just getting to our Easter festivities. Oh well, we've been busy! This year we did a lot at my parent's house for Easter because my brother and his family were in town from Alaska. The Friday before Easter all the kids dyed eggs. Michael helped Kayleigh abd she had a great time! In the pictures you'll notice she is wearing a red cover-up. I found it at IKEA and I love it! It's so nice to have her put on when she is using markers, chalk, etc. As my sister said, it's perfect for me because I can't handle messes!

The cute pictures of Landon with his Nana were from the night before dying eggs took place. All the kids got in Nana and Grandpa's pool and then had a bath. During the bath Landon watched while Nana held him.

Good news

We sold our Honda! I am very relieved that we did, but a little sad at the same time. It's funny how you get attached to things like houses, cars, etc. It was a good car for us for the 5 years that we had it.

4 month check up

I took Landon in yesterday for his 4 month checkup. Wow, he sure is growing! He weighed in at 14 lbs. 10 oz. (44th %tile) and 25 in. long (54th %tile). The doctor and MA both commented on his rolls, double chin and chunkiness!

The good news is, he doesn't need a helmet! His head is still flat, but equally flat on both sides, so it isn't causing any shifting of his face. The doctor just said to keep him elevated as much as possible. He also said we can start on wheat cereal and baby food any time now, I think I'll still wait for a little while though, he seems so little still and he can't even hold his head up yet. We are so grateful he is growing and developing well.

Our new car

This past Monday we took the plunge and got a new family car. It's a Kia Sorento 2011 that can seat up to 7. So far we have really enjoyed it and we are enjoying more space, locks that work, no dents, a back-up camera, and being higher up off the road.

We are going to be selling my Honda Civic 2001. I'll post stats and pics on that when I get a second, so if you know anyone interested, check back soon!

On April 11th we finally blessed Landon. We waited to do so for a couple of reasons, number one the doctor didn't want us doing it until end of March first of April and number two because my brother and his family were coming to visit from Alaska in April. So we held his blessing at our ward house in the Relief Society room and then had a light diner afterwards in the cultural hall. I think it worked out really well. Michael did a great job with his blessing! He said he was a lot less nervous this time around, compared to when Kayleigh was blessed.

We were lucky to have our family and friends celebrate the day with us. Even Michael's sister's family made the trek up from St. George to be with us. We appreciated every one's support. It was fun for me to have my whole family together for the occasion.

Thanks to everyone who helped bring things for the dinner. Everything was delicious! With it being at the church it was pretty easy to set up and clean up. It was nice I wasn't stressing about getting my house ready for the big day. Overall, Landon was a happy camper that day and even gave us some big smiles when we took his picture at home.
