Helping at Nana and Grandpa's

We had fun on Monday playing in the dirt! My parents needed some help getting their dirt ready to lay sod. Let's face it, Michael was really the only one that helped but the kids sure had fun and everyone got nice and dirty.
Since it was family night we took the opportunity to have a super short lesson with Kayleigh about working together and how it's fun to do that. She also found a rock that she had to bring home and put in her collection. Silly girl!

Blessings

Ignore me in this picture, what you need to focus on is Landon.  Lately he has started this where he pretends to give you a blessing.  It is so cute and so funny!  We really try to not encourage it because ya know, it's not something you want him doing all the time, but hey, we had to get a picture to document.
One day he just did it to Kayleigh while she was sitting down and I about died!  What's kind of cool to me is that it's not like he's seen a ton of blessings given in his life time.  So for him to do this is kind of cute I think.  What else is funny is what he says when he does it.  It's usually along the lines of "Happy birthday to you."  What a stud you are Landon!

Cute curls

Thanks to my sis-in-law, Staci, I found that Kayleigh's hair will actually hold a curl without using an entie bottle of hairspray and spending a ton of time.  The trick??  A curling rod.  Yeah, it's pretty cool.  I like it for my own hair as well.  It still takes some time, but hey, it's so cute and lasts through out the day.  Kayleigh asks almost every day for me to do her hair curly.

Wyatt Wyatt and more Wyatt

Love this one!  Unfortunately, this is what he spends half his days doing, poor kid.  Yesterday Kay told me she feels bad for him.  I do too!

 All ready for church

LOVE this onesie!  Thanks to our awesome friends and neighbors, the Hawkes, that gave it to him.

So I have lots of pictures of Wyatt that I've taken lately and thought I should get some on here. Mostly so when I actually print this thing they'll be in a book and also for my sis-in-law to see who lives far away.

Our Easter celebrations

 Grace, Landon, Phoebe and Kayleigh

The cute "bunny face" Kay got painted on her face at the neighgorhood hunt.
Notice Wyatt in the back right of the picture.  This is the only shot we have of him from that day.  Oops!
Kayleigh organized all of her eggs according to color.
Kay finding an egg up on the shelf.

Phoebe and Kay ready for their dinner.
Landon and Grace with their dinner.
Kayleigh all ready to go outside.  She was lucky enough to get to borrow one of Egbert's head flashlights.

Backing up a little in time I'm going to tell you what we did to celebrate Easter.  One thing is for sure, the kids got spoiled from the Easter Bunny!  They ended up having 3 different Easter egg hunts.  Boy oh boy we had so much candy! We actually still have candy from it.
My sister, Marie, came up to my parent's house late Friday afternoon.  We took advantage of them being up here and did a lot with them over the weekend.  It started on Friday when we dyed eggs.  I made 18 hard boiled eggs for my kids to share and I thought it would be plenty.  However, I was wrong.  Landon was way into it which I hadn't anticipated . I could have made a dozen more for them to do.  Either way, it turned out really fun for them.
I missed most of the egg dying process because I was at Bowman's doing my monthly billing that I do for them.  Once I got to my parent's, I ate dinner and then we headed down to their neighborhood Easter egg hunt.  One of their neighbors offered to host the hunt in their yard.  Each person was responsible for bringing some eggs and then each kid got to find 12 eggs.  Kayleigh and Landon were so excited to begin the Easter egg hunts.  Kayleigh remembers well last year's hunt at Nana's and has been talking about it all year.
After the hunt there were cupcakes and hot chocolate to eat.  I thought it was  really nice of her neighbor to do that and it was fun!  Upon returning to Nana's, Kayleigh wanted to sleep over since her cousins were.  I ran home to get her and I some things so we could sleep over.   Michael slept at our house with all the boys.
Saturday was another fun filled day.  After I got home from work, I noticed that the Easter Bunny had been to our house while we were gone.  I quickly called the kids who were at my mom's to come home and  start looking for eggs.  Kayleigh and Landon were so happy when they came running through the door and began to look for their baskets and eggs.  Kayleigh's basket had been hidden in the dryer and and Landon's was in the cupboard under the sink in the bathroom.  Michael and I share one and it was hidden in the freezer, Kayleigh thought that was pretty silly!  Since Wyatt can't eat candy yet, he didn't get one but 'm sure that next year the Easter Bunny will leave one for him, too.
We headed back to Nana's after our egg hunt.  We had our traditional fondue dinner and then the kids got to head out back with flashlights for the long awaited egg hunt.  Landon understood so much more this year compared to last year what the hunt was all about.  He was so cute as he'd go around and find eggs and then want to find more.  Kayleigh and Grace are old enough now that they find the easily hidden ones pretty fast and we couldn't keep up with them running around everywhere.
Once inside we counted all the eggs to make sure we'd gotten everything the Bunny left.  To this day we are still missing a couple things.  That Bunny sure knows how to hide them good!  We left Saturday night really tired but we'd sure had fun.

Wyatt's 2 month check-up

12 lbs. 1 oz. (60%tile)
23.5 in. (72%tile)

I don't know if he is really our child, he's not in the 90th percentile yet! He was our biggest baby at birth but now he's our smallest baby.
We love our cute, little guy! He is growing and doing well. If we could figure out why he cries so much then he'd be better, but in the meantime we're trying to enjoy each moment.
