This weather

Oh man! I can't believe how much it snowed last night! Here we think it's spring and then it does this, oh well. It's blue sky now and I bet a lot of it will melt before the day is done. We had a fun weekend though, watched a couple movies off of my list, Return with Honor and The Nanny Diaries. Return with Honor was good, I liked the message but it moved way too slow. The Nanny Diaries was really cute I thought, minus the F word. I thought "Harvard Hottie" was very cute and the message was good as well. It also made me really want to go to New York again, that city is just so fun.

Kayleigh's 1st trip to the dentist

I know, she's only one and we had to take her in. Yesterday Kayleigh fell and took the folding chair she was holding onto with her. The chair fell and hit her face pretty good. It made her upper gums bleed pretty bad and chipped her two front teeth. I feel so bad!! Now, before you start to worry that I don't watch what my child is doing, I was sitting about 2 feet from her in the same room and everything, just couldn't catch her in time. Kayleigh has a bad habit of not bending when she falls, she goes straight back and takes whatever she is holding onto with her.
I called our dentist and they said to bring her in, I wanted to make sure she hadn't ruined her teeth for life. She was SO GOOD for the dentist! She let him look in her mouth several times without even turning her head or pulling his hands away, I was so glad. He said they look just fine, they are both chipped but he said not bad enough to do anything about it. He said as they continue to grow in they might turn grey, like a bruise does to your skin, we'll just have to wait and see. Since her fall her teeth have retracted back into her gums a little. Dr. Packer says that is normal since the gums received trauma it's common for the teeth to retract. Once her swelling of the gums goes down they should look normal again. Also, as I said, her teeth are chipped. So you don't get the wrong idea of how they look, it just looks like they are her permanent teeth, you know with the bumps on the bottom. (Hope that makes sense.) Dr. Packer joked with me and said, "That's why Heavenly Father blessed us with 2 sets of teeth."

I am so glad she is okay! Who knew a folding chair could do so much damage?? I am thankful we have a great dentist that would squeeze us in and he didn't even charge us! How nice is that?

Easter Weekend-Sunday

Sunday was also a very fun filled day. We went to church, of course, and it was fun to wear our Easter dresses, Kayleigh looked so cute! In Primary I taught the lesson about the resurrection. To Sunbeams it was kind of hard for them to get, but who knows, maybe they understood more than I think they did. Easter is a great holiday for us to remember that our Savior suffered and died for us so that we can repent and live again. At times this is incomprehensible to me but I know in my heart it's true and I am grateful for that. I take peace in knowing I can see loved ones again and be forgiven of all the stupid things I do.

After church we headed over to Kennard's for a yummy steak/potato dinner. Since we had been pretty busy the rest of the weekend we took Kayleigh's Easter basket over to their house. She just loved her new Mickey Mouse toy! We've decided we'll get pretty tired of the music it plays, but she really does love it! She also got some new music and a book from Suzy and Grandpa, thanks guys.

Easter Weekend-Saturday

I worked in the morning and Michael went golfing in the afternoon. It was supposed to be for 9 holes, but it was slow going so he only got 6 in before we had to leave to meet family for dinner. He enjoyed playing for his first time this season though, it was a beautiful day! For dinner we met Michael's cousin Maria and her husband Nate and baby Max for dinner at the new Chili's in Centerville. It was packed, but we didn't have to wait too long before we were seated. We enjoyed a yummy dinner with 2 kids throwing stuff on the floor-going out to dinner with kids just isn't the same is it? After dinner the guys headed off to the Jazz game and the girls and kids went to Target and the mall to finish some Easter shopping. All in all, it was a fun day.

Easter Weekend-Friday night

We went to my parent's house where we did our annual Easter egg hunt outside at night by flashlight. It was really fun this year because Kayleigh actually wanted to bend down and get the eggs and put them in her basket. I, or course, had to help her walk around though. Once we got inside and opened all the eggs to find candy and money she got very excited to eat the candy! Later in the evening we found her chewing on something, it was tinfoil! Some how she had gotten hold of an egg wrapped in foil, sucked the chocolate all gone and was left with the foil, silly girl!! Kayleigh also got some clips for her hair, a stuffed bunny, play dough, and a toothbrush and toothpaste. Thanks, Nana and Grandpa for a fun night!

Enchanted

Watched this weekend. I thought it was cute, but it wasn't exactly what I was expecting. I think I thought it would be more serious, as it went along though I liked it more. Michael thought it was very cute! I think it's great Disney chose an American Idol star to sing, go Carrie Underwood!!!!!!

The cow jumped over the "mooh"

Well, that's how Kayleigh has learned to say the moon. It is sooo cute! She loves her "Goodnight Moon" book and loves seeing the moon in the sky at night. Just last night I asked her if she could say moon and she did! "Mooh!" she replied. I'm loving her getting bigger and learning new stuff.

In the middle of the night

The funniest thing happened last night, I'll try to explain just how it happened. Yesterday afternoon I got out a toy keyboard one of Michael's aunts gave us. There are 3 different settings it can be on. One of the settings makes animal noises when you push the keys. Kayleigh loves her "new" toy and I'm glad I saved it till now to give her something else to do. Anyway, when I put her to bed I leaned it up against her book shelf and thought I turned the switch to off. At about 11 p.m. when Michael finally got home he went in to see her since he hadn't all day. I went in with him because I love seeing Kayleigh sound asleep, it's so cute! I showed him the keyboard and as I picked it up, off goes the elephant! It was soooo funny! Michael and I were trying not to bust up laughing! Kayleigh stirred a little and then was sound asleep again. I'm glad it didn't wake her up though, whew!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Now even though I haven't ever really understood all the history behind this holiday, I have always seemed to enjoy it. As a kid I loved going to school and wearing green so I wouldn't get pinched. I really liked it in elementary where we would usually have a party to celebrate it-sugar cookies, games, etc.
