My cousin's wedding

My cousin got married on August 1st and I just LOVED her cake, so I had to post a picture of it.
And just so everyone knows, I don't usually dress my child that casual for a wedding reception, but she came with Michael straight from Lagoon. I thought that picture of her and I was cute, too. Congrats, Bethanie! I am happy for you guys.

Computer games

Kayleigh has discovered http://www.playhousedisney.com/ It is sooo funny to watch her play! There isn't too many games/activities she can do by herself but with our help she really likes it. It's amazing the technology they have these days.

My cutie

I just love when her hair is done in pigtails, it's just so cute!

Our first picks of the harvest

Here it is! We have corn and peppers. Our tomatoes are still coming, hopefully. They seem to be suffering from a watering problem, all the bottoms of them are rotted out. Our corn hasn't produced that much either, not like last year anyway. Oh well. I figure it didn't even cost 10 bucks to plant everything, so whatever we get our of it is fine. I am always amazed at what can grow out of the ground though. It's kind of fun.

15 week stats

Last Thursday I went to the dr. for a check-up. We got to hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time and also had another ultrasound. On the ultrasound we saw the baby moving around a lot, we saw its hands and one of its feet. It's so amazing to me how that all works. I can't wait to feel it inside of me, that's one of my favorite things about being pregnant.

I scheduled my "big" ultrasound for September 17th so then we'll find out what we are having. I feel like it's another girl, but we'll see. The heartbeat is fast which would make me think girl too, but I know that isn't a proven fact about the speed of the heartbeat . It was true with Kayleigh though and my niece too. Also, my father-in-law says it's a girl and he has guessed all of his grandchildren right thus far.

Anyway, we are getting more and more excited. I think Kayleigh is going to be a great big sister. Now we just need to get the baby room in order, lots of work to do there, but we'll get it done I'm sure.

Some great photos

My parents have an amazing yard! It is beautifully landscaped and a fun place to have parties. Every year Michael takes some great pictures and I thought I'd post some of them.

Boating with friends

Aren't those white legs almost blinding??

Our backyard neighbors and great friends invited us to go with them boating. We went up to Pineview Reservoir and had a great afternoon. Kayleigh really liked the boat! She just hung out and ate chips and Swedish fish, it was so funny! Michael did take her out on the tube, but she didn't really love it. What she did like was when we ate dinner on the beach and she got to play in the sand. She had a blast doing that and I think would have rather stayed on the beach and kept playing.

Michael and I both went water skiing and both got up on our first attempt. Both of us were impressed with ourselves since neither of us have done it in years. Michael also got whipped around pretty good on the tube, it was funny to watch!

We had a lot of fun but we payed for it the next day. We were sooo sore!! Guess that shows ya how out of shape we are, but it was worth it.

Lagoon

Last Tuesday we made our annual trip to Lagoon. It was a ton of fun! Kayleigh enjoyed it so much this year. She was so excited to go and so sad when it closed and we had to come home. We went with my parents, brother, sister and her two girls. Unfortunately, my dad had to leave in the afternoon because my brother just didn't want to stay any more.

We started out the day at Lagoon-A-Beach and spent a couple of hours there. Kayleigh really loved the little kiddy slides they had. After getting all changed then we headed into the rides. Kayleigh went on every kiddy ride she could, and some more than once. It really was the perfect day, not too busy and lots of shade in the kiddy part. I think her favorite ride was Puff, even though if you ask her she'll say it was the Carousel.

The worst part of the day was when Kayleigh and her cousin Grace rode the boats. They were in the same boat and if you know those boats there is only one bell in each boat. The girls were fighting so bad over the bell that the attendant stopped the ride so we could take them off. Every parent around was laughing and it was so embarrassing! These two girls love each other but they sure fight a lot, too. Poor Kayleigh was bleeding and they were so mad/sad. Once we got over that they were fine. They rode plenty of more rides together and as long as there wasn't just one of something to fight over, they were fine.

We took Kayleigh on the Log Flume and Rattlesnake Rapids. She didn't like the Log Flume, but enjoyed Rattlesnake Rapids. We all got pretty wet!

Even though I didn't ride a ton of rides, being pregnant and all, it still was pretty fun. I loved seeing how excited Kayleigh got as she rode the rides. Michael even won a stuffed pig and cow, which Kayleigh also thought was pretty cool. I can't wait to go again next year.

Sarcoma Awareness Walk & BBQ

On Saturday we headed up to Jordanelle (sp?) Reservoir to be with Michael's co-workers for the annual Sarcoma Awareness walk and BBQ. It was actually quite nice up there, it was a few degrees cooler than down in the valley. We went on a short walk and then headed down to the reservoir to take a quick boat ride. Since the lake was quite crowded we didn't ski or tube, just went for a ride. We enjoyed our time there and getting out to see some nature.

Belly pics

I managed to make it through my whole pregnancy with Kayleigh without ever taking any pictures of my belly. So, I told myself on round 2 I would do better. So, here ya go, at 13 1/2 weeks I already look like I did when I was 20 weeks with Kayleigh. My stomach muscles sure know how to stretch this time around. Oh well, I'll get over it.
